Copyright or Trademark?
These are usually images that a company uses to identify themselves in printed or video advertising. When you think about companies such as Nike, Apple Computers, or Pepsi, you probably get a visual flash in your memory and that
is usually a picture of their trademark. Almost all of Disney's character's (Mickey, Donald Duck, Pooh, and the rest of the gang) are all copyrighted trademarks and cannot be used by any person without expressed written permission.
You cannot use copyrighted images, trademarks, or published music without permission - unless it is for a multimedia school project that will be used one semester and not published. Otherwise, you cannot use copyrighted, trademarked images, or music on any presentation that will be published on the Internet or to the general public. Even if you have no plans to publish it or if you think that no one will go after you just because you are a "student." |
